Thoughts/reviews on NYNY hotel?

Might end up staying there this time over Labor Day weekend.

Stayed at Palazzo and Cosmo before so staying towards the south might be nice...

It's a cool place but the gaming sucks. I had a better stay at MGM

So I just found this deal for a different hotel:
Treasure Island - Two-Night Stay for Two in a Deluxe Strip-View Room with Two Cirque du Soleil Tickets for $239.

Is this hotel better than Bally's?

What golf course is that in the background? It doesn't look like the Wynn...I guess it has to be though

Never stayed at TI, I do not think it is too great though.

Bally's is ok. It is older and all, but the casino has some low limits if I remember correctly. Also, it is about the best location of any hotel in Vegas. It does not get more centrally located than Bally's.

I stayed there last year and got upgraded to a suite which was legit. Twin stand up showers, twin toilets and vanities, sunken in jaccuzi tub, and about 950sq feet. Have not stayed in a regular room there, but I really liked the suite. I can get free rooms there comped, but honestly I prefer PH and Paris. They are not as nice as Wynn, Encore, etc, but I get comps at the Cesar properties including those and Cesars Palace. Cannot beat the location of the ones I mentioned.

And a first time in Vegas really should stay center strip IMO.

This. Vegas is a fun place to visit but no way I would live there. Nevada is a pretty shitty place and you can't gamble and party everyday.

Here is a tip. Don't go. Way overrated. Unless you got the trip for free you just wasted your money.

Best thing in Vegas is the food if you have the cash to spend.

i've never understood some people's fascination with the place, i think everybody should go a couple times, but when people talk about eloping there and wanting to go to for more than a few days, i can't imagine.

I literally just got back from Vegas yesterday.

We stayed at the Encore. It was very nice, but honestly we all agreed that if we go back we would stay at the Venetian or Treasure Island. Both of those were in the middle of the strip and were still nice places.

Vegas is weird, there is a lot of construction on the Ballys side of the street and it seems to be the "trashy" side with Ballys right in the middle of it. It may be nice on the inside, but not on the outside.

If you are a guy, skip the shows. Or substitute a show for the mob museum, it was pretty cool.

Women are everywhere, just watch the ones you have to pay for.

Dont buy drinks, just sit at a slot machine and wait for the waitress to come around.

If you want to go straight louisiana, go to walgreens and buy a styrofoam ice chest and buy cases of beer there as well.

I wouldnt worry about the view in the room, you wont be there.

Dont go to "Old Vegas", they built a zipline right in the middle of it and it blocks the front of 2 casinos.

Its hot, but not as hot as it is here. Bring some freaking lotion because that heat will dry you out.

I think thats it.

I'll be there in two weeks. I love the place and I don't even gamble much. If you do it right you won't go broke. As kengel2 said, go to the store and buy some booze for the room. Vegas is one of only a few places that you can legally walk the streets with alcohol so make some stiff drinks before you leave the room and any time you pass by your place stop in for more. There are some cool shows so don't feel like you have to skip them. Go to the half off ticket booth deal down the strip and see what they have. Most of them are like 90 minutes long and you can drink there too if you're into it.

Um wrong.

It is not legal to carry an open contain er in vegas.

Cops are usually cool if youre not hassling anyone, but its nt legal.

The priceline random hotel deal for Labor Day weekend is 92 a night for south strip 4*. It says 25% off so if you look at the original prices it should almost definitely be NYNY at 122 a night. I think I may just roll with that.

Hope the hotel is decent. Gonna be a hell of a walk to center strip though.
