Went to Tuscaloosa 2 yrs ago for the "Game of the Century." I had an absolute blast. Alabama has a nice campus and the atmosphere was electric, just like back home on gameday. Can't imagine Ole Miss could come close to the Bama game.

Best away game trip I've ever experienced and I ended up on the frontpage of The Advocate because my group arrived two days earlier.

A solid choice if you enjoy on campus gameday Klan meetings and banners that make you laugh out loud.

Ole Miss sucks.....went in '03,

if you didn't have fun in that atmosphere, i don't think you are capable of having a good time on a game day.

Hey, LSU fans don't like the Grove. Big frickin surprise. It is rated at the top or near the top nationally for game day experience every year, so nearly everyone in the nation disagrees with you. Go to the Texas board and ask them if they enjoyed Oxford for a game weekend. I've spoken with people all over the country regarding game day in Oxford and never heard even a mediocre review.

OP, if you choose to spend any time at all in the city of Tuscaloosa over Oxford, I'm sorry in advance. And if this board is at all to blame for the OP's reprehensible decision's shame on you guys.

I know I know -- links

ESPN ranked The Grove as the number two college football tailgating spot in the country.[8] In its review, it said:[8] “ Tailgating in The Grove is an experience so sublime even native son William Faulkner would be at a loss to describe it. ”
Additionally, Sports Illustrated ranked The Grove number one.[5] In its review, it said:[5] “ There is no more beautiful spot to tailgate, nor one richer in tradition; the Grove has been the site of pregame picnicking for more than half a century. ”
The New York Times called The Grove "the mother and mistress of outdoor ritual mayhem":[2] “ The glory of the Grove is legend at all of Ole Miss’s rival schools in the Southeastern Conference and beyond. It is the mother and mistress of outdoor ritual mayhem. ” A common saying by "grovers" is "We may not win every game, but we've never lost a party."[2]
Joe Cahn, known as "The Commissioner of Tailgating", said after his 2003 Tailgating tour that The Grove is "probably the most single outstanding tailgating area in the country."[9] He continued: “ There may be bigger…there may be louder…but there truly isn’t any better tailgating than Ole Miss. ”
The Columbia Missourian newspaper called The Grove, "the mecca of tailgating in American sports."[6]

Yeah you guys think it sucks, but ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and The New York times disagree with you. What's that, you don't care what smart, cultured, travelled sports fans think? That's fine then.

I hope not all of your 20,000 posts are this frickin stupid. That would be a tremendous waste of cyberspace. Your existence is a contribution to the worsening of America and sports fandom in general
