Just moved here. 3.5 acres that backs up to about 20 acres of woods. Will bow hunt from my backyard......guess I have to take the good with the bad.

frick a snake. All of them. Don't talk to me about "good job, dick! That snake kept the mice and rats in check!" I don't have mice or rats and there are plenty of cats roaming to kill the ones that do exist around here. And snakes eat like 6 times a fricking year. Creepy arse devil creatures.

Anyway. I use a 20 gauge.

Idea, do they have cane break anti venom or something you can pre-prepare for?

How much grass and cropland do you have near? Also how many abandoned buildings and trash piles are close by? All of these locations are prime for mice and rats....which means rattlesnake hunting grounds. Regardless rattlesnakes in an urban/commercial/residiantial area are rare until the afore mentioned areas are disturbed.

on those 20 acres of woods go through if you have permission make some brush piles then you will have rabbits mice and the snakes will be occupied.

Or get a mongoose or a badger
