Keep seeing people say I don't want this guy or I do want that guy so I figured I'd gauge how much you do or don't want a prospect.

From 1 (oh, I mad) to 5 (fapping) how happy would you be for each player that we have semi-established is the top 7 likely prospects? This is not a matter or ranking the prospects, but rather your happiness with their talent and fit with the Pels future plans.

Noel
McLemore
Olandipo
Porter
Len
Burke
Bennett

Here's mine:
Noel 2.5 - To me his value is as a trade piece. Don't like his fit next to AD b/c I don't think he can bulk up enough to play C and protect AD.

McLemore 4.5 - Questions about his work ethic (out of shape for workouts) may be only reason we have shot at him, but I like the fit and talent if he is serious about his game. At the least he'll be a spot-up shooter to help space the floor for Ego, Rivers, and AD.

Olandipo 5 - My personal favorite player. I think he will continue to develop his offensive game and ball-handling/moves. Love his work ethic and his intensity.

Porter 4.5 - Jack of all trades would fill a major hole and has work ethic to advance his game. If he can continue to improve his perimeter shooting, I like it even more.

Len 4 - Would be excited about the AD/AL front court. Foot injury concerns me some, but with his size and touch I think he COULD be a top 5 center in about 4 or 5 years.

Burke 3 - Neutral. I've cooled off on him, but would take a wait and see approach and trust Demps. Would probably immediately start trying to convince myself this was a good pick b/c I'm an optimist.

Bennett 1.5 - Plays the one position we're set at. Would take some convincing for me to be happy, but in Demps we trust, right??

So basically I'll be all smiles if we get Dipo, Porter, McLemore, or Len.

Bennett is the only player I don't want and that's mainly because I think he becomes Derrick Williams 2.0 stuck behind the Pelicans PF logjam. Everyone else I'd be pretty happy about. This is a rotation player draft, so I'm not expecting any stars.

I'd be fine with most any of those guys. I don't really get the Otto Porter obsession.

You can hide lack of athleticism as a big, down on the blocks (Monroe, Hibbert as comps since people have taken to say "less than athletic Hoyas are excelling"), but not for a guy that we would need playing out on the wing.

Why?

Best "need" pick in the draft. Fits in perfectly with the team. I think he is probably the best overall basketball player in the draft.

And because he's getting mentions around 5-10, and we worked him out, I'll go with MCW at a 1.

If we draft Noel, I say we keep him.

The only thing about drafting Porter is the seemingly strong SF crop in next years draft. I think we can get a SF of the future there, so maybe focus on another position and sign a 1-2 year stop-gap at SF in FA.

If you're going to jack off to us drafting a certain guy, you may want to learn how to properly spell his name.
