Threw 6 shutout innings today vs phils- 2 hits, 1 bb 6 k's

Ho hum

Season line: 15 Gs, 104 ip, 6-1, 2.16 era, 115 k's, 23 bb , 71 hits allowed

Holy shite the dude is 22 or 24 or some crazy young number and all he does is DEAL

Question is should he start the all-star game for the NL?

To add to that, the game's also at Citi Field.

He probably would have gone the distance if not for the rain delay. Also, 23 BB in 104 IP is damn good.

I'd guess the starter for the NL team will be one of Kershaw, Miller, or Harvey. I'd go with Harvey for obvious reasons.

I'm not really into the oh it's at citi field so Harvey should start thing

I want him to start cause I think he's earned it to this point. For basically a rookie the guy has been incredible, on a shitty team too

Oh, I agree. I'm just saying as sort of a tie-breaker/too close to call, that's another thing in his favor.

That's a good point. I'm guessing MLB might think it through and maybe push a young guy in the #1 media mkt to start

They do such a horrible job promoting any players, much less young and potentially great ones that they may not though.

His delivery is just mesmerizing to me. So smooth and boom it's there and you missed it lol

I've seen each start of the 15. Maybe one wasn't all that great but even then he battled and hung in. The other 14 were dr k like.

Wainwright has 9BB in 110IP.

What's the rest of his season line?

I despise the cardinals so much I won't even look up their players stats. Sorry but its the truth

Harvey has an argument along with Wainwright, Corbin, Kershaw, Zimmerman, and Miller.

Kershaw and Cliff Lee only two with a higher WAR currently and Jeff Locke is the only one with lower ERA

Adam Wainwright is the clear cut starter. Harvey's been great, but Wainwright has been absolutely stellar.

ETA: the Cards are the best team in baseball so that gives him a boost, too.

10-4, 2.35 ERA. 100 K's.

Harvey has pitched 1 more game but Harvey beats him in strikeouts, ERA, WAR, has allowed less hits, less runs, and has a lower WHIP.

Well no it's not clear cut, that's the point

Might come down to the dreaded " who pitched last" bs

Harvey has been better than Wainwright.

He has him beat in just about every statistical category (other than wins, which shouldn't matter).

I'd pick Miller over Wainwright as well. This shouldn't be a career achievement award.

God damn, you Cardinals fans (outside of Geaux) are fricking stupid. It is anything but clear cut.
