This is the first time I've planted okra.
What's the pod in the bottom center of this photo?
I'm thinking its a copperhead nest, soon to be killed with fire.

That is a deformed okra pod and I am willing to bet that you have the worst garden on the OB.

May be a fruit that has a parasite in it.

Maybe so. Don't care. I didnt enter the OB gardening pageant.
So, what's inside the deformation?
Baby copperheads, right?

Okra pod with parasite or another pod growing inside of it. Essentially okra Siamese twins

Prolly the seeds and decayed growth. I am guessing it was a bite or sting that caused it to grow crazy like that.

My oak tree was taken over by gall wasp larvae this year. Pretty weird that a parasite can alter the growth of fruit like that.

Negative.
When in doubt of ID, members of the OB think that every snake is a copperheadcottonmouth.

Awwww shite.
My first thought of killing it with fire might actually be valid.
