Yeh, it would be extremely hard not to bite on those fake shots, especially b/c you know he can bury them if you don't alter his shot a little.

I read an article a long time ago about how Ronaldo dedicates significant time coming up with new skill sequences for certain situations. he would watch video and see what went wrong in some instances and think of ways he improve on it.

His "memory bank", that you spoke of. is pretty vast.

He has damn near a perfect combination of athletic ability, mental capacity and dedication to the game.

Current rumors have Cesc as a new target for Moyes..

We will see if its more than a rumor or

just that Man Utd has needeed a new certer mid and has been linked to a cm for every summer in the past decade.

The unifying factor among all of those players is that they are almost always acting with absolute conviction. Regardless of your skill level, it's pretty easy to look like Danny Welbeck if you don't know exactly what you are about to do (and have a good reason for doing it).

Half of Ronaldo's legwork is already done nowadays anyway because you don't particularly want him to hit the end line on his left nor do you want to see him cut inside on his right.

Very interesting

quote:

Moyes has turned his attention to the 26-year-old after Thiago Alcântara joined Bayern Munich from Barcelona for £21.6m. Yet it is thought that Moyes could have signed Thiago over the course of the past weeks, with the delay in his finally leaving for Bayern being down to United's manager not being completely convinced by the 22-year-old. Although it is understood Thiago was keen on joining United, there were suggestions from some at the club that he might struggle on occasion to cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

I saw that as well, but wasn't sure how true it was. Rumor was that we never actually put in a bid and were still just testing the waters. Bayern then came swooped in and snatched him up.

Not saying he would have chosen us over Bayern though. I feel like had there been two offers and he had a choice, he was always going to Bayern.

No Thiago.
No Strootman.

Now Rooney, who is going to be #2 behind RvP and won't be getting a new contract, is all kinds of mad.

Yep.

Is this the Sir Alex effect if you will? Not saying Moyes was the wrong hire, I do think he's an above average manager, but why are all these guys spurning ManU? Idk if a bid was made on Strootman, but if so that's more than a bit insulting he would choose Roma over ManU.

SAF, Paul Scholes signings imminent

ETA: Alternatively,

1. Force out SAF and Moyes
2. Sign Roy Keane
3. ????
4. ????

No bid for thiago or strootman, but I would say that the SAF effect is definitely a real thing and I hate it.
