My dislike of Man U will grew even stronger if they sign Thiago. He is one of my favorite Barca players.

Rumors of a 50 million pound bid for Cavani. Also, rumours of Barcelona joining the hunt for Rooney.

How would you feel about losing Rooney, but gaining Thiago and Cavani? Net gain, I suppose.

Ronaldo scheduled to meet with team officials.

quote:

Carlo Ancelotti’s introduction at Real Madrid could spell the end of Cristiano Ronaldo’s era at the club.

Ronaldo is set for meetings with Manchester United officials this summer according to reports in Spain, after the Portuguese international took to Twitter earlier this week to refute rumors of him signing a new contract with Madrid. Both United and Madrid will deny the meetings, as it’s against FIFA rules for a player under contract to meet with another club without an official inquiry.

The 29-year-old made his displeasure with the Madrid club known last fall, choosing to not celebrate after some goals, but not going into detail with the media about why he was upset. Ronaldo still wound up scoring 55 times last season in all competition, adding to his total of 202 goals since trading his digs in Manchester for the Spanish capital in 2009.

Here are some more stories to get your Wednesday started:

HOLY frick!! I've been very skeptical about him coming back to OT...I truly think he's very unhappy at RM and possibly realizes he made a mistake (aside from the $$ of course) I still think it's too good to be true. however, if this happens I will lift my "CR7 is dead" ban and continue my man crush on him

Per twitter, we are setting up a meeting with Rooney's representatives next week to determine a plan of action.

Also, per twitter again, we are beginning to do some preliminary pricing research on him as well.

Rumor has it that De Rossi may be available for 15-20 after Strootman was signed. If this is true, I think we should really try to snatch him up.

Or, Luis Gustavo.
