If Williams' price is less than 5 mil I would consider it. If Sakho is really unsettled at PSG we should try real hard to grab him. This transfer season is real weird. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't sign anyone. The truth is that this team is close in a lot of areas. But we are missing something which I can't quite put my finger on.

wonder if baccy is our 4th CB right now. looked good there.

i love him so much, i wouldnt mind. height us no issue cus the dude has ups. its just hes nit fast enough with two broken legs to get up and down the wing like he used to. other backs moved inside when they got older and worked out.
plus he did look good when he played there.

I agree. I think the key is adding more class to compliment our solid base. our struggles last year were against top clubs, which indicates we lacked a real top gear, and injuries. I have no stats in front of me, so I'm probably way off, but it seemed like there were less crushing disappointments in league play as opposed to the last few years.

I hope bayern get thiago and we make a run at luis gustavo. I like him more than any DM we have been linked with other than Lars, I suppose (who is seemingly untouchable).

good squad there. excited to see Zelalem with that crew. clearly, we're extremely high on him. akpom, eisfeld, olsson, and gnabry have been training with the first team as well. glad to see they're coming. this seems like a make or break year for Aneke. doubt he stays though.

I hope Ryo's not going to go out on loan. I want to see him play here. His decision making can't be worse than Gervinho's. I mean, I shite on Gervinho a lot, but he always gets into good positions only to frick up the chance. I'd like to see someone else try for once.

Well no shite, but specifically, what does he have to do to become a citizen?

I'm sorry, I do not know the ins and outs of the naturalization process. I did not study that in law school. that was all I meant. he isn't a US citizen and no one knows where he is in that process or if he has even begun it. I think you have to be 18 to start that process. I'm not sure what his family connections are (parents Ethiopian, born in Germany) so the fact he has moved overseas may be a bad thing. best hope we have is that two years ago, he was very high on jurgy. Germany will be gunning for him though.

I'm just wondering if he spent enough time in the US to qualify for citizenship, if not now, then in the future.

we had an XI of youth players play a friendly today against Sutton United (6th tier of English football, what up). apparently our new 15yo signing Dan Crowley was the highlight. also, Wellington Silva played which might be his first Arsenal appearance in the three years he's been on our books

I'd be surprised if Zelalem will ever suit up for the U.S. He's a German citizen, apparently applying for a U.S. passport, but if the Germany youth set up gets him cap-tied before he gets U.S. citizenship, he won't be eligible to play.

he's probably too good. Germany will be after him hard, in all likelihood. Ethiopia too. he was only in the US a couple of years. might not have enough of a connection to go through the naturalization process and stick with the US.

Crowley's play/style got comps to Iniesta. I could go for that. I'm going to try and catch some reserve matches this year. crowley and zelalem will be a joy to watch.

I think he considers himself German. I'll tweet him pics and stuff to try and sway him.

We need another young player to pin all our hopes on, as Aneke and Afobe, among others, have faltered. Crowley and Zelalam are our best bets, along with Akpom and maybe Jack Jebb.
