I spoke to Davon a few hours ago at Plaquemine High School, he was there watching the Basketball team against St. James. Here is our conversation.

Davon told me he had just returned from Bama, at that point I asked him how was it, he said it was Ok, I asked him, just ok? He said yes, but it's Bama. At this time his phone rang, it was Coach Miles on the other end. He talked to Coach Miles for about 20 minutes or so. After he hung up, I asked him what were his plans, he said I'm going to Florida tomorrow and from there I'm going to visit Florida State, then last I will go to LSU camp.

He told me that he WILL definitely be graduating in December and he will make his announcement that time, I asked if he had a specific date he said not yet. But he will definitely announce before the Army All-American game he is playing in.

You have impeccable timing for a stalker...

Eta: I follow recruiting only tangentially (good word, huh?), I know this board loves him. How is everyone so certain he comes here?

That ain't what I wanted to hear!

Thought he bled purple & gold, and was just waiting on an offer from LSU.

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame any kid for considering all of his options, but I kinda figured Godchaux was only interested in LSU......

Fury-LOL at the stalker comment, I have known Davon since he was born, so I'm not a Johnny-come-lately to the table here. By the way, they had a Bama troll at Plaquemine High also, trying to encourage Davon to ditch the Tigers and go to lil Nicky, the guy was so obnoxious that quite frankly he pissed Davon off with the Bama crap. LOL

Not only is LSU the hometown school, we have been much better at sending Dlineman to the NFL. I think he'll make the right choice

TigerAbe-Believe me he is all LSU, he is just enjoying the process. And if you knew what this kid has endured, you would enjoy the process also. Most kids in his situation would get as far away from Louisiana as they possibly can. But Davon bleeds Purple and Gold.

It's summer. These kids haven't started their senior years yet. It isn't late. "Late" is when the offer comes after the school year has started.

Do you know what an offer indicates now adays?

These kids have been getting love from LSU for 2+ years, regardless of a meaningless word that doesn't hold truth.

Bayou blazer-IMO, concerning Davon, it wouldn't matter if LSU offered in Feb.2014, the kid bleeds purple and gold. And again, if you knew his situation, you would enjoy the process also, I can tell you now, he probably appreciates the offers far more than most highly recruited kids in high school, just basing this on what he has endured and will continue to endure when he chooses the school he will attend.

Team, thanks for the info. So many guys on this board like sunny and So act like total asses when it comes to what they "think" they know. I made a comment on why he hasn't already committed and of course they are dicks about it.

Just so you know, when someone "bleeds purple and gold", TO ME that means they are begging for that offer and jump on it when it comes, it doesn't mean they go see other schools that they have NO intention of every attending.

So don't take my comments personally as a slap at you. The fact is he may have loved LSU since he was born, but he does not BLEED purple and gold if he feels he needs to see other schools after his offer.

It's just a perspective from someone not close to him like you are. The thought of visiting Florida should make him vomit in his own mouth...that is IF he bleeds purple and gold.

Congrats on the kids perseverance through life's challenges so far and hope he pledges his love for LSU sooner than later.

IMO there is ZERO reasons to visit any school in Fla if he bleeds our colors. He's just giving guys like Jimbo ammunition to use against LSU in any way he can.

If you knew what takes place at these visits you would rethink your view or at least understand why they take these visits.

Are you serious? I went on plenty of them BEFORE all this was closely watched.....think mid 80's..no phones, no cameras, no internet, etc.....

It's not...but when you've done a few and then the school who's colors you "bleed" offers, you commit and tell the others no thanks, I'm now an LSU Tiger.

So exactly what is it you are implying that he will gain by visiting these schools? A piece of arse?
