Is there a pay launch I could use on left side right before bridge To Grand Isle to fish the bay/ area to left? I have a small boat and would rather not launch at bridge side and drive around. I can picture a bait shop on left before bridge but can't remember boat launch. Thanks

I think it is closed down for renovations right now. You can launch at Sand Dollar and you are on the bay side.

Best bets are to use Bridgeside, the new Wakeside or Gulf Stream and then just run across to that area if that's where you're looking to fish.

You talking about where Cigars used to be ?

Didn't think they had a public launch there anymore but I could be mistaken.

There is a launch on the bayside right after you get onto the island it's on the left. I actually prefer launching there over bridgeside. It has a lot more room.

You're talking about Carmadells (your best bet). I think you can also launch your boat at where the old cigars resturant was...not sure. Thats your only options.

Gulf stream has been bought out and is in the process of being constructed into a Resturant/Marina/Town homes.

Thats what I was thinking about. Used to rent a slip down there when my family would take a annual weeklong trip down there.

Was Cigars a victim of Katrina?

You can launch on the north side of the road at the first concrete bridge on LA1
