Wade needs to look at how Jordan changed his game as he got older and try to mimic that IMO. Wade has a great mid range jumper, he needs to develop that to the point where opponents have to try and stop that before his driving. It would also let James do his thing more. Wade is just getting to banged up by the time the finals come around every year.

Totally agree. His offensive play last night was atrocious due to him believing that he's still 26. He needs to realize where his strengths are now.

Wade won't be able to evolve like Jordan.

Jordan had probably the best midrange game the NBA has ever seen. It was an easy transition to more threes and the turn around fade away.

Unfortunately, Wade's deterioration in his game is likely to be hard and fast IMO.

He has a good/decent/meh mid range jumper. What's sad is if I had to pick a player on the big 3 to shoot mid range jumpers, it'd be Bosh.

he's not a good enough shooter. Needs to be the 6th man in the playoffs b/c he isn't spreading the floor out

Agreed, I love wade that the reason im a heat fan i used to hate lebron until i started watching him with the heat and realized he really is a great player. Maybe not as great as the media portrays him but great in-deed. I dont know if he needs surgery or what ever it is to fix whats wrong with his knee but if i was him i would take the time this off season and get it corrected. Who cares if you miss a couple months of the season rehabbing. prime example is D. Rose. Wade needs to fix himself so he can be wade again

Considering the 3 point line was 22 ft in the latter stages of Jordan's career, it's not exactly a fair comparison there.

Wade has already evolved his game. He's cutting more. Playing off the ball more. He's got a very good post game. But at the end of the day, his knee is screwed up right now. He had an amazing regular season. Let's see what happens going into next year before we say "he can't do X," especially when it's really already done it.

Why is this sad? He's one of the best midrange shooters in the league. He shot like 53%+ on long 2s this year.

I do agree on getting beat up but Wade is one of the best at drawing a foul. He has it down to a science.

b/c he plays the 4/5 for the heat and it means he isn't going to be around for boards

Jordan was not the best mid range shooter early in his career. He was actually pretty similar to Wade there. He was a much better shooter his last 3 years in Chicago then earlier in his career. Wade needs to do whatever he can to become this, because if he doesn't...

I love Dwayne Wade's game, but he relies on explosiveness A LOT. The reason he is deteriorating so fast as a player is because as soon as he loses that explosiveness, he's nothing special. Guys like him have short shelf lives unfortunately

Well to be honest. Wade is able to play the same game for most of the season...

Because LeBron shot 57% from the field and 40% from 3.

Now that LeBron's jumper isnt there...it exposes Wade or at least the Wade/LeBron combo.

LeBron is better with shooters on the floor when his jumper isnt working.

If LeBron is making jump shots early in game 7...it allows Wade to play his game...if LeBron starts to struggle with the jumper...then you gotta get Wade off the floor.

I do agree next season Wade's game needs to evolve.

He needs to look at Jordan and Kobe who added the "catch and Shoot" aspect to their game. Also helps extend his career so he wouldnt have to play so reckless.

I'm a huge D Wade fan. He has been my second favorite player for almost a decade.

I credit him more than anyone for both of Miami's titles. He plays big in big games, was unreal in 2006, and ultimately got LeBron to Miami.

Plus I think he is an all around good dude and stand up guy. The Heat are still his team to the fans here even though LeBron is the man and unquestioned best player and leader now.

Sums up the whole NBA

Also D Wade is still my favorite player on the team. I love watching Wade play.

IMO, he already has a nice mid range jumper. At times he doesn't miss it. He just needs to really develop the consistency there.

He also second guesses taking shots ,there were plenty of times when he should have just pulled up and shot only to second guess himself and it be too late as the defense had moved in already. James does this alot too
