Slowly becoming an ace. 6 straight good starts. ERA under 3.50 after this start tonight. 7 inning and 1 run again at home.

This kid is learning how to be a pitcher. Great delivery that will allow him to throw a lot of innings...a ray of light

He'll bring in some good prospects when the Astros trade him in 2 years.

Astros are starting to stack up some arms. Should be interesting in 3 or 4 years.

I was listening to one of the many worthless sports talk shows here in Milwaukee yesterday and they mentioned the series coming up with the "4A Astros" and I laughed because the Brewers only have two more wins than Houston does.

Yes indeed. 2015 has the potential to be a loaded young staff

People think they can pick on the stros because they were supposed to be historically bad, but they are pulling out some wins and with a better bullpen, they could be doing better. Screw the Brewers, they havent ever won anything.

I'm a big Brewers fan but yeah they're a mess and I don't see them winning a WS in my lifetime.

Including tonight, Lyles has now posted a 1.61 ERA in his last 7 starts. A win tonight would make him 3-0 in that span.

he had one bad (really bad) start.

I hope you don't plan on dying soon. They have a decent core with Segura,Braun, Gomez.

Won't be next year though I admit.

Can't believe they picked on the Astros when they're starting Yuni B all over the diamond and a couple of C prospects

I'm keeping up with it on gameday. Even after all those years in the same division with the Crew, I have no idea who most of the guys in the lineup are tonight. Theres a guy named Scooter

It's just hard to picture the Brewers ever having a serviceable starting rotation.

When ARam and Weeks are gone. That money has to go to the rotation and we'll roll with Yo and Lohse even though they'll have about 24 million tied up between the two.

Hoohoo, yeah we got a Scooter.

This thread needs a bump. Lyles was dealing again. got the win and is rolling with a 1.61 era over his last 7 games. he is starting to mature and understand what it takes to be successful at this level. he will only continue to mature. I think the astros are building toward sick rotation of the future:

Lyles
Folty
Cosart
Appel
McCullers

plus you have velasqeuz, Tropeano and a couple of other arms coming up as well. 2015 is looking bright. Lyles will only be 24.
