Have to say this is a pretty good video. Sen. Guillory makes a pretty compelling case for being an African American Republican. I just wonder if this will move the needle at all? I also wonder if Sen. Guillory just effectively lost his seat in the Senate? Pretty interesting to say the least. What is left out of the video is that Sen. Guillory switched his party affiliation after a prominent African American Democrat from New Orleans stated that if you are against the expansion of Obamacare in Louisiana you are a racist. Clearly Sen. Guillory doesn't agree with that statement.

I happened to be watching the committee when Guillory told the story (it should be archived online somewhere).
On a trip to Africa, his tour guide took him to a witchdoctor/medicine man/shaman/whatever. The shaman threw some bones on the dirt floor and diagnosed Guillory with some sort of sickness in a particular part of his body. When he got back home and checked with his doctor, he did indeed have a problem (Guillory wasn't specific about the illness).
The point of the story wasn't that we should start visiting witchdoctors or that he does so regularly. He did it once as part of a tour. The story was told to illustrate that modern science can't explain everything and we should keep an open mind.
