Best way to kill Poison Ivy in your yard

Just bought a house and they have about 20 sprouts of it

2-4-D Amine. spray only the poison ivy. wont kill grass. will kill any broad leaf next to it,

Buddy told me a couple he knew was clearing land to build a house ..they had lots of Poison Ivy on the land. They made piles with the brush and burned it.
The lady was later hospitalized and died.
They figures out too late she inhaled the m the burning death plant.

Not sure the validity of that story, but it was told to me last week...

My dad told me he is going to pull it out with his bare hands since he isn't allergic

My dad is a warrior, but I will advise against this .

There are some medium size trees around the back fence that are invested with the PI, I'm thinking that's the source of all the sprouts...
