This might be a long shot bc it's a pretty remote area but I'm going to the flathead lake area in nw montana. Any restaurants worthwhile up there? Anywhere from bigfork to kalispell to whitefish.

It's been a while, I know they have a MacKenzie River Pizza which I've always really enjoyed.
Flathead really isn't all that remote, there will be tons of great restaurants up there, especially in Kalispell.

Well I guess I meant not in a bigger city like missoula. The first part of the trip is in a remote area but the second half is in whitefish.

Headed to Glacier with the family in August.
Flying into Kalispell, so was trying to figure out what's good outside the park, but we're staying in the park at Many Glacier and Village at Apgar the entire week.
Trip Advisor has helped me with the lesser known places within the park- on the east side- Park Cafe and Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club are on the list.
Yelping it, I've seen that a few of the "higher rated" places in Whitefish/Kalispell are southern cafes with crawfish cakes and cajun creole pulled pork on the menu.
I'm looking for an elk chop and some rocky mountain oysters, so let me know if you find anything good.

Yeah I'll bump this after trip if we find something ok. Urbanspoon is pretty limited for that area. I'll try Yelp next.
