Ghost Hunters: Shreveport Municipal Auditorium

Okay, so obviously no one watched this show or there would be a thread already. I did and want to talk about it.
First let me preface this by informing all of you that I volunteer on the board at the Muni and give historical tours and haunted tours there all the time. I have been in this building at midnight completely alone and have never thought I heard or saw anything. But many, many people have heard or seen things, and I don't dismiss them.
So these guys made this much more theatrical than it needed to be. I have never heard anyone ever claim they saw the ghost of Elvis or thought he was one of the spirits. I get why they did it, I just don't agree it was necessary to embellish the stories.
One really interesting thing happened though. We have had ghost hunters come in many times and one group recorded a bunch of EVPs. One of the EVPs was an audible deep groan that came from inside the auditorium. When the Ghost Hunters were there, they picked up the exact same noise.
Anyway, they DID NOT make anything up or make things happen that didn't. But they essentially made up the origins or the main focus of the ghosts.

One time I got caught up in a ghost hunt at the Muni. But it was just a lot of confusion; I was just lost trying to find the Klan meeting.

Wow. I had no idea stuff like that went on at the muni.
An older guy I've known since I was a kid was at the concert where they said "Elvis has left the building." I didn't realize it was a "seriously guys, leave, Elvis is gone, he has left" type thing.

quote:That's a funny story. It was his last concert under contract with the Louisiana Hayride and it was performed at the Hirsch Colliseum becuase he had gotten to big for the Muni.
