Want to go frogging next weekend and was thinking of spotlight options.

Has anyone ever built a hardhat spotlight and have suggestions? Or Do you know where I could get one?

Wal-Mart has the lights you strap on your head. Just use that.

That's what I was thinking.

OP, why a hard hat?

I had a wal mart one that was pretty bright then found those Interstate ones (same company as batteries). They're 19 bucks but effin bright. I bought a second one for a spare.

I have one, bought it from the nightlite catalog for coin hunters. These are much better than the regular flashlight on a strap that Walmart sells. Much brighter and better batt life.

this. Unless they started making them way brighter, they aren't worth a crap.

Here's how you can build one:

or Aucoin's in Morgan City or Pierre Part Store or probably any south louisiana sportsman store.

I think this is the one I bought, but mine came on a hard hat back when it was bought. The only hardhat version they sell now is way more expensive than what I paid for it.

I just didn't think the headlights from walmart are bright enough.
Thanks for the link I'm going to look into it and update if I make one.

If you make one, make sure your hard hat has ratchet adjustable, the others are a pita. I'd also look into using a LED light. I know the little headband one I use is bright as shite and throws a damn good beam.
