I don't see many people talking about it. And games haven't really been developed for it. Seems like a huge flop to me.

I think so.

I do think there is still a place for 3D movies in theaters, but not on TVs.

yeah its improved greatly in theaters now, previously it would give me an actual, physical, headache.

the TV shite is just for the birds though.

This! I have a head ache the rest of the day after watching something 3D. I don't want 3D unless it looks like it came out of the TV.

gaming is the only platform to take advantage of it. And even 3D enabled games are going to start drying up. so yes, bust.

After Killzone 3, I honestly did'nt know there were 3D games being made.

I assumed they had already died off.

Yea, I never cared too much for 3D TV. Never really saw the absolute need to get one. People are always looking for the latest and greatest television invention. Other than the Hz rate of a TV, I don't really see how they could make a TV any more visually compelling.

Agreed, it was being pushed down everyone's throats 2 years ago and now you don't hear anything about it. Same thing with the 3DS, the fact that it can show 3d without glasses has kind of become an after thought.

It never caught on in my living room

3D blu ray, 3D movies, all that hype is and will eventually die out completely IMO. Detail , black level, and shadowing suffers tremendously and the effect termed "judder" makes the experience unbearable for me. You see black "crushing" in video games and depending on the atmosphere of the game it can really pull you out of the situation

(gonna miss my xbox experience )

My mom got a 3D TV and it's cool but I still don't want one.

The glasses are a dealbreaker

I wish 3d would die off for movies also. Only because most theatres with an IMAX only have one screen. And it is always used for a 3d movie. I just want a regular movie on IMAX!!

insane how much they cost. If you have a family of 4 or 5 you end up spending 800-1000 on glasses.

not really bud

LINK

those are $15-$20

LINK

then those go on sale for $30. Can be used with ANY 3d television that uses Bluetooth RF technology like all the 2012/2013 Panasonic and samsungs

SOOOO there ya go, today you learned glasses really aren't that much anymore. And with new tv, there is usually even a pair include. 3D still is garbage however

I think that there will be greater desire for it when technology for 3d without the glasses is more prevalent.

I wouldt call it a bust, but I have a 3-D TV and DirecTV has about three or four 3-D dedicated channels. I also buy/watch 3-D Blu-ray's pretty often.
