First off, I've never been fishing out of Delacroix and plan on taking the yak out there on the 23rd. Is there any place to just park a truck on the side of the road or something towards the end of the hwy?

Also, this is not specifically related to Delacroix, but for you iSolunar users...this is my first time using this app. How accurate is this app? Does this mean that I shouldn't bother fishing between 6am and 10:30am? Or better yet, am I wasting sleep time by hurrying to get out there by 6am and waste 4.5 hours waiting for the major period?

there is nothing "accurate" about the rating section or the major/minor periods. However, there is a correlation in noticeable feeding behaviors of fish during those major/minor times.

For instance on Saturday, it looked like this:

I caught fish early am and it pretty much shut down until noon when they really turned on. Scroll through the days and you can tell by the moon phase which days will have better ratings. Usually better days are closer to the full and new moons.

So you're saying there is something to the major/minor periods. Reason I ask was we got skunked on Saturday, we went out from 7am-11:30 am. I downloaded iSolunar Sunday night and saw that there was a minor period that ended at 6:55 and a major started at noon. I don't want to put too much unnecessary stock into this app, but I'm just trying to time it right. I have a 6 week old, so my time these days is precious.

Thanks for the help.

Saturday that bastard was pretty spot on. I think it had more to do with the tide, but none the less it was on point.

Under the results tab, does it allow you to record what you did? If so that would be pretty nice. I've always wanted to keep a log of what I did, but have never been disciplined enough to write it down.

Nah, but you take a photo and put it in the "Trophy Room" and they have a section for notes that you can type in.

So according to my screenshot, would you guys get out there at 6am?

And does anyone have any knowledge about parking at the end of Delacroix Hwy?

Went out of Sweet Water last weekend and some yakkers were paddling in as we were putting the boat back on the trailer. They launched out of Sweet Water and there's plenty of parking by the marina.
