Les has been here for 8 years, hes already exceeded sabans efforts, if not, then why in the hell did saban only have one season with less than 3 losses? That would mean the sec is weaker now, or miles is a better coach at LSU than saban was at LSU.

Yes! Miles has done better at LSU than Saban ever did, there is no question about that.
Not taking away from what Saban has done, although I would have loved to take the 1/9 from him, but Miles has elevated LSU to where Saban didn't.
It is not easy to maintain the level of LSU football but Miles has done it throughout his tenure.
I love how so many are writing us off and saying the SEC west is now de facto between TAMU and Bama. We will be fine and surprise many in 2013.

I'm sure ill be called a sunshine pumper or some shite but I don't see us losing 4 games. I'd say probably 2 but 4? That's saying that we'll lose to Bama, aTm, UGA & UF? (Don't see us being upset by TCU or Ole Piss) I can see Bama and maybe UGA but aTm and UF at home? Don't think so! This team will be better than most people think.

I can't see us losing to UGA either. By the time they play us they will have played both Clemson and USCe. UGA is Ole Miss with a better offense. UGA will be lucky to escape September with a 2-2 record.

Our offense is gonna be upgraded. I think we can all agree on that. It's just a matter of how much will it improve in Cam's 1st season. We lost a lot on D last year but we have a leader on the D-line and a leader at safety. I don't know if we've ever had the talent or depth at linebacker that we now have. 2 young corners that were both
thrown into the fire last year and rose to the occasion. Since Chavis has been here, we've always had a solid Defense and that ain't gonna change. I just think a lot of our fanbase is buying what the media is saying. Point being, we're not gonna lose 4 games. This team is gonna be good. Maybe not nat title good but not far off IMO. If Les really does hand the keys to the offense over to Cam like its been said that he would.. We are gonna be some damn happy Tiger fans up in here this year.

This paragraph would have looked even more impressive if they would ha e added Oklahoma's best player as well. I still find it hard to believe that Ok's best player doesn't have five stars.
As pointed out by a previous reply, half of those stats of in state blue chip percentages are skewed since they don't all get offers kinda like the previous 5-star RB C Michael that A+M fans were so proud of taking from us at a time when LSU's RB stable has been tops in the nation by a landslide.
Thnx to the OP for Posting a very cool article!

That's because he is not their best player. QB David Cornwell is.. Composite Oklahoma rankings
ETA: You must be referring to RIVALS only. He is #1 according to them but I like to utilize the composite so you get the evaluations of more than one service. This is the more objective approach IMO

Cool, I didn't know that 247 had a composite ranking index.
Thnx, I am going to bookmark that.

I believe whole heartedly that the Cam hire is the Chavis hire of 2009. Miles/Alleva tried to do a half arse hire a couple years ago with Kragthorpe(I guess you could say a decent offensive mind, but more of a QB coach). Krags then was diagnosed so the offensive didn't get the fix it needed. So we started running this hybrid offense of Miles, Stud and Krags that did nothing but limit Mett to fully grasp the QB position also pushing Stud away from more important matters like that of the OL. We now have a true offensive coaching genius with eleven years of offensive and head coaching experience at the pro level. A true QB guru who has developed the likes of Rivers, Flacco, and Brees into Super Bowl caliber players. A guy who made the RB position versatile with the likes of LT and Rice who are known for their skills as a receiver almost as much as their skills as a runner. The SEC and the nation has finally ran out of time. The initial test run will be 2013 but the full blown arse whooping will start in 2014.

The composite consists of rankings from 247, rivals, scout, and espn. It's an average of all 4.
