LSU's Bullpen: Just a Reminder

I have seen people talking about who should start and when but the thing it seems we are forgetting about is our bullpen.
Record - 30-6
ERA - 2.57
K's - 260
BB's - 102
Saves - 16 (Thanks Cotton)
IP - 304.2
Hits - 223
Starts - 19
I am not saying anything more than Nola should start Game 1 and that is it until the Championship round, if we win out and get there. If we win our first 2 games, our 3rd is on Friday and he will be rested and ready to go but then we might not be able to use him again after that.
If we win out, it should go Nola, Glenn, Eades. We have a bullpen that we can use too. And then we would be able to go with Nola in Game 1 of the Championship followed by Glenn in Game 2. There is just so much baseball pitching strategy to think of, it hurts my head.
It also depends on who we end up getting and when. These are all just "What if's" and are mostly based off the scenario where LSU wins out.
If they lose a game, shite hits the fan and you can pitch whoever you want because we will be playing 2 extra games to get to the Finals and our backs will be against the wall.

Glenn hasn't pitched in a month. I know it doesn't really matter, but damn.

Theyre gonna want Cotton to go EVERY NIGHT.
couldn't believe the number of people calling for him on friday.

Seriously? People think it would be a good idea to start him Friday, if we get there?
I remember when we did that to Matty Ott against Florida where he gave up 56 runs and he never came back.

Yeah. Cotton delivers meat over the plate. Not much stuff there, no real velocity, he just pounds the zone and makes them beat you. Then it's just defense.
If he starts, he would get shelled.
If he starts, he would get shelled.

That's because we have so many authoritative figures here on the Rant and coaches.

Not saying I would start him, but your post is hilarious.

There's a very good chance he would get shelled. He's all heart and no stuff. He throws a ton of strikes and that approach is perfect for the end of the game when a team is back on its heels and trying to scrape by. You put him at the beginning of a game pumping 85 mph bp fastballs in there and they'll be going 1st to 3rd all night.

Yeah, usually guys that get drafted in the 13th round just throw meat.
He is also averaging a strikeout an inning.
Not saying that he should start, but your post shows that you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.

So he'd be worse than bonvillian if he started?

I'd say the truth is closer to:
"Cotton literally gives you nothing good to swing at...and everything is a strike...and he fools hitters constantly"

The guy has only given up 24 hits and struck out 45 in 44 innings pitched. Yeah all he throws is meat over the plate.

Not really, I am just saying he wouldn't be able to last more than 4 innings. Why would we want to waste him for one game instead of having him ready for every game?

No man, he keeps you off balance. He doesn't just deliver meat down the plate.

Shouldn't be surprising. Given OPs comment.

Let's leave somethings to Paul Maineri.

It doesn't amaze me anymore. It's actually more surprising these days when there is a legit thread with legit discussion.
