This Is the End is pulling 90% all critics and 100% top critics on RT.

Critics are by their nature pretentious, so the over-whelming positive reviews lead me to believe it's gonna be smart and have some stature.

My friend worked on this movie.
I had serious doubts about it, but he told me he was surprised how funny the script and the scenes he saw were.

The concept alone is great with all of these people playing some version of themselves.
The Micheal Cera angle looks great with him portraying himself but against type as a coked up horn dog a la NPH in the Harold and Kumar movies.
I think we may be looking at the best comedy since the original Hangover from what I'm seeing.

possibly, but they often overrate the frick out of low comedies that try to be smart and miss the mark on the actual comedy
