FIFA's ratings for the Natl team sparked this argument amongst my friends and it's about 50/50 yes/no.

I personally feel like they are slightly underrated, what are your thoughts?

Maybe slightly. Certainly not as much as they were previously

Sorry, I meant the video game's ratings of the players (and how it relates to international perspective)

I'm joking, but there is no way the US were even close 4th in the world. Those rankings are pretty terrible.

We didn't "bomb" out, so no it didn't happen. We won the group for Christ's sake.

I don't know why that one fact hijacked the thread so much.

To get back on topic it seems like the best US players are rated pretty correctly. The average to below average guys don't really matter as much so they just slap a random average rating on them.

I have no idea why you haven't wiped that from your memory by now. If someone mentions WC I immediately think 2010. 2006 didn't happen.

No, Americans aren't underrated. Its right where we should be. frick, 75% of them ball watch and don't make runs, and most of the time they don't first time pass anything.

You forgot about our first touch. It's like we have baseball bats for legs and life is one big batting cage.

I find this quote to be highly underrated.

i think they are, and other than reputation of American soccer in general, landycakes 2 failures in Germany still leave a bitter taste in the collective mouths of europeans.

if jozy has another good season, i think we'll see how much the perceptions change b/c he should be a petty valuable transfer target

i'm curious what happens with bradley, too. i think he could be a good budget buy for a big club. you can't tell me that he wouldn't play a good deal at Man U, for instance (i pick them out b/c they probably buy a more expensive CM this offseason)

i'm watching zusi for the first time and i think he could get run at some mid-lower table EPL sides

the one group that i think is overrated (by americans) are our german-americans

Jozy is above a 72. Bradley is above a 75. Facts
