This is very true

Lopez is also too soft for my liking

really? I think he would be the perfect long term center for this team if he had better athleticism. I don't think he's soft. He's just limited.

had len played for one of the top recruiters in the country, he'd be a top rated player in the draft. had he played with a decent backcourt on a contending team, he'd be the consensus #1.

there's probably at least a 25% chance he does go #1 i reckon. i don't see how you put him against noel and say 100% "noel is clearly the better big man prospect"

i just think a combo of AD/Len would be great for pick/roll defense

len has soft hands and will finish around the rim. that's rare for a 7-footer.

those 2 alone make him worth it

add in the ability to be a rim protector, and that makes him a potential beast.

I think of all the players that we assume will be available at 6 len has the highest potential. not saying he will reach it but with the choices that will be available he is the best gamble imo

even if he doesn't, if he can just defend on the pick and roll and finish near the bucket he'll be worth it

i don't NEED the pels to be awesome next year, so i can wait 1 more year for offensive help

also, there are a shite ton of good point guards in the NBA right now that we can try to get

You can't teach size, & Len has it. The other thing I like is that he isn't weak. And he can grow into his frame. LINK

Dude already weighs more than robin lopez at 6.4% body fat. Doesn't need too much time to mature. Just give him some burgers and he could get to hibbert size quick.

So Len it is. I have a voicemail from Demps and I haven't returned it because I know he was caught off guard by Saric. He wanted to talk about options and I wanted to get the board's consensus before I called him back

I've been slowly boarding the Len train. I think I'm on board based on what I've seen and read.

Having a great Frontcourt is how a small market team competes. If he pans out, a one two punch of Davis/Len would be pretty great.

I do think, however, picking him they make a serious play for Brandon Jennings. They'll want a scorer and someone that can get in the lane. It's not what I want, but I think they go there. Then they go after someone like Dorrel Wright or Martell Webster and bring back AFA on a cheap deal. Seems logical. Again, I'm not a Jennings guy at all, but I see that happening.

Jennings/Vasquez/Rivers/Roberts
Gordon/Rivers/Wright
Wright (or Webster)/AFA
Davis/Anderson/Smith
Lopez/Len/Smith

(And with that fantasy roster, TigerinAtl died a little inside)

the more and more i look at this draft, you really can't go wrong taking Len.

PGs are a dime a dozen.
