CWS first game ??

If LSU wins this weekend, what game would the first LSU CWS game be? Opening games are at 2pm and 7pm Sat and Sun. Trying to make vacation plans so I don't miss the game, thanks

Saturday at either 2 or 7. I don't think that is determined until after the field is set.

Good point I'd say LSU-CSF/UCLA has Sat night written allover it. Back in 2009 LSU-UVA was in primetime on Sat night, fwiw

Not sure NCAA cares about that, but who knows. ESPN would likely have some say so they may want the only West coast team to play at 5 vs. Noon.

What day is determined by what bracket LSU will be in if they win their Super Regional and their seed...4th seed. Bracket 1 is teams seeded 2,3,6, and 7. Bracket 2 is teams seeded 1,4,5, and 6. Bracket 1 plays on Saturday and Bracket 2 plays on Sunday.
If LSU wins the Super Regional, they will be playing on SUNDAY!!

So the F-S teams play a day later than the S-M teams? Seems counterintuitive, but it is the NCAA.

Wrong. The Fri-Sun teams play on Saturday and the Sat-Mon super regional group plays on Sunday. Thats the whole point on deciding who plays what day in the Supers. And ESPN will have complete say on who plays the 2pm and who plays the 7pm games out of the 2 games from that bracket.
