It'll be on at 3AM local time. I'm committed to watching it somehow. Anybody know of an american sports bar in Paris, potentially open 24 hours a day????

If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Paris isn't mentioned in the OP, but it's a good place to check out and see if anyone mentioned it throughout the thread. Or if you find a place, it can be added.

Unless there is a bar dedicated to watching the game, it will be tough to find something airing it that late. It certainly won't be airing in a regular sports bar. Your best bet will probably be Justin's Bar & Grill if you hotel has internet connection.

It might come down to me watching it somehow on the internet. Any ideas on what sites will work over seas? I ran into this problem trying to watch the UGA/LSU seccg on my honeymoon in St. Lucia in 2011. Tried to watch it on cbs.com and it wouldn't work.

Any ideas on web sites????

It sounds like I'm complaining, I don't mean to come off that way, it'll be a great trip.

I like many of you read these boards every single day and we only get to see 13 or 14 games a year. Ill be damned if I'm going to let an ocean stopping me from watching one. ESP a season opener like tcu, in Jerry world.

Can't wait for football season!

Paris is awesome but they barely care about European sports, much less American. Good luck with that.

"Any ideas on web sites????"

I live in London, and I've watched every LSU game live for the last 5 years. Legally.

The game will be shown on ESPN Player. This is the international version of ESPN3.com in the US. It costs £9 in the UK (about $14) for a day pass, and you can watch the entire ESPN slate, all day for 24 hours. When you're in Europe, go to www.espnplayer.com. Don't bother trying now, it will recognize that you're logging on from the US and deny you access, as its only available if you're logging on internationally. But when you're in Europe it works well.

(Note - as an alternative, if you have a way to watch online in the US (like ESPN3.com), get a proxy server. Not familiar with that concept? Google it. That would have worked for the CBS internet broadcast of the SECCG.)

For anyone else who wants to know about ESPN Player internationally - see: LINK . Or, just google it.
