I know this is the gaming board but I figured I'd get the most help here. A month ago I connected my laptop to the internet for the first time in quite a while. I did some updates of drivers and a few system updates it prompted me to do then I realized my audio on my laptop didn't work. I tried restoring my laptop to a earlier date and a few other things. System shows everything is working but neither the speakers or even headphones will product a sound. Anyone have any ideas on whats might have went wrong and how to fix it?

Computer is a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6862. Runs Windows Vista. TIA

update/re-install sound card drivers

also, see if volume dial is at zero, that sometimes seems to be the issue

Yea thanks guys, I tried uninstalling, updating and reinstalling my sound drivers a bunch of times. Volumes are all on, it's showing everything is working but I'm still not getting any sound. Getting frustrated. I don't think it's a speaker problem because headphones don't work either
