Just got around to finally watching this. Meh, liked the more over the top version called Varsity Blues. I felt like I didn't know any of the players that well at all. Big let down. Heard the television show is awesome though, I'll have to get around to that at some point.

I loved the movie and the book. I probably love the movie the most because of the similarities my senior year in football. Made it to the Dome and got beat in the 4th quarter.

Was Boobie Miles really that good back in the day? Sounds like a Marcus Dupree type. Read up on him, sounds like his life went to shite.

Hey come on, he hugged his son after the big game and that made everything alright.

I would put it at the top of my list as well. Right up there with Remember the Titans.

I know there haven't* been many quality football films but FNL is definitely one of the best of that subgenre.

This generation's Last Picture Show.

How is this possible? Don't you believe Fringe is so good it fills the top 10 slots?

yea he is a garbage man now IIRC.

watched a documentary on him and the team before the movie came out... damn, living in that place must have sucked, but being a starter on that team would have automatically made you a god.

read the book, its one of my all time favorites
