Does anyone know they have a limited liquor license?

They bought out the LeBlanc's store in Walker. Then seemingly overnight all the liquor disappeared. LeBlanc's fought hard to change the liquor laws in Walker and now the store that they had contains only beer again. WTF?

I think the owners of Carter's are religious zealots, and don't want to sell alcohol. Not joking.

Surprised they bought out Leblancs.... Wouldn't have thought that would happen since Leblancs seems to be expanding

The Carter chain doesn't sell any hard alcohol. It's evidently store policy.

I really enjoyed LeBlancs. I bet Carters will stop selling the pork temple meat as well. They also seem priced higher than any other AG store I have been in.

Leblancs sold since they're building their large store on Airline.

Old man carter died last year and he was the one with the no hard alcohol policy, the kids wanted to step up and start selling it but momma said no

But that is in Prairieville... I would figure that would hinder the location on 42 and Airline in Gonzales more

I don't see how they aren't pulling business away from their 42 store. I guess they figure the Dtown and lower prairieille crowd will boost that store and the 42 crowd will stay where they are.

Granted the 42 store seems to be packed the few times I have been in there.

Well they haven't opened the Airline store test, I mean they only have the 4 walls up now from me passing it. Appears Aurline stone won't be ready till July

Maybe they seem to be moving at a snail pace. Someone told me WalMart bought location where Bruno's was and wants to build a marketplace in that spot

I would think that a marketplace a little further out might make more sense, but a gamble. There are a lot of people in lower Livingston and that Eastern Part of AP and really besides a few half arse AG stores there isn't anything.

Walmart would compete with Ralph's and Leblanc's at that location. Further out they wouldn't have any.

Brian's is building a new store on HWY 22 in Livingston Parish near the Diversion. Building looks like it doubles the current stores square footage.
