Would y'all take Luck,Romo or Newton ahead of him??

Depends if it's 6 for passing TD
Can't deny Newton and Kaeps running ability. Though Luck will toss the most TDs out of those IMO

won't have the year he had in the postseason, probably a top 12 QB but losing Crabtree hurts a lot.
the 49ers have superb blocking on the line of scrimmage... I think he'll keep on having success running. Maybe not as much as last year but there won't be a big drop off in my opinion.
kind of agree with the point on Crabtree, he was his favorite target. Now you have two unproven guys, Jenkins and Patton who will have to step up. ** edit** I mean they do have Boldin and Davis who are pretty good but for a young QB, needing to have two young to step up beyond them could get interesting. Manningham is okay I guess but he's coming off an ACL injury so I guess that could be a concern...
The guy does have an impressive arm though...

Crabtree was mediocre without Kaep. CK started the last 8 games.
56 of Crabtrees 85 catches came from CK.
665 yards out of 1105.
3 100 yard games vs 1 100 yard game in the first 8 games
6 TDs vs 3 TDs in first 8
Also had 100 yard games in 2 out of 3 playoff games along w 3 TDs.
Point is, QBs make the WRs go. CK proved he can get itvdone. Of course losing Crab will sting but I feel like it won't harm CKs production. Like I said, his bread and butter in running, fantasy wise. The passing is lagniappe.
Dude ran for 415 and 5 TDs in limited duty. We are talking 6'5" 240 here. Not no Michael Vick

I would take all three over Kap, 9er's are a running team and everything goes through Frank Gore. All three of those QBs will have more 300 passing yard games. Plus you have to take in account Newtons goaline touches. Newton regressed a bit in his second year when they figured him out, teams should do the same with Kap.
Boldin and Manningham aren't the same kind of WR as Crabtree. Boldin will go across the middle and Manningham will get downfield. Crabtree is catch the ball in space and make a play with a bit of both from the other two just mentioned. If I'm taking anyone I'll be Davis with a late possible sleeper of former 1st rounder A.J. Jenkins. They expect him to step up.

10 team standard scoring he should go 5th to 6th round. Someone will reach and take him in the 4th in most leagues imho

Especially when those 2nd tier QBs start coming off the board in the 2nd-3rd. It becomes a wildfire to get one and people reach. I'd much prefer D. Murray, R. Bush, Andre Johnson or V. Cruz around that time.

I've never understood that mindset. Once the top 5 qbs are off the board, I am in no hurry to draft a QB. QB is sooo deep next year, either get an elite qb or wait til like the 7th.

Last year, I was the 2nd to last team to pick a QB and took Romo. After week 1, I thought I was a genius then the interceptions started happening. He should be a lot better in 2013.

You got a steal. Romo is a solid fantasy QB.

Cereal. Sorry if you disagree.

My league is full of Saintards that hate the Cowboys so it was obvious why he dropped

absolutely.
I think Vernon Davis emerges again as a prime target now that Crabtree is out. He had a big game in the NFC Championship and had the most catches for the 49ers in the Super Bowl. His numbers weren't as big last year as opposed to 2011 but I see him having a nice 2013 season.

yeah, I haven't seen a QB quite like him in awhile at this level. He kind of reminds me of Randall Cunningham because of his height and long strides when he runs.
Kap had 63 carries in the regular season in only 7 starts. I guess that number could double with a full season... but I'm sure they will be pretty smart with his number of carries. Just look at what happened with RG3 last year...

oh yeah, meant to say Cam Newton there instead.
anyway, both should be a terror running the ball this year. Most of the time, teams didn't have a clue how to stop that read option last year.
As long as its carefully orchestrated, those plays should shred nickel defenses.

quote:Exactly. 2 years ago I got Arian Foster and MJD in a 10 team league because of panic. Took Schaub in the 8th round then a QB in the 2nd to last round as a joke. People hated on my roster but that Cam cat kinda worked out.

QB's are entirely too deep to touch before the 5th unless his name is Brees, Brady or Rodgers.

Guy that won our league this past year got Lynch in the 1st, AP in the second and RG3 in the 8th. He nailed it.
