Because Fla plays midweek games against Miami and Fla St whereas LSU plays Nicholls and the SWAC west

Can someone explaine how oregon st ended up a higher seed than us? I know a lot of people say that it doesnt matter....but I would like to know the rationale behind it. If it doesnt matter, then why do they waste their time doing it?

Pretty simple...they were the champions of the 3rd best conference in the nation. The seeds actually make good sense to me and I am glad teams got rewarded for winning their league.
1 Seed UNC: Champions of the RPI #1 conference
2 Seed Vandy: Champions of the RPI #2 conference
3 Seed Oregon St: Champions of the RPI #3 conference
4 Seed LSU: 2nd place in the RPI #2 conference
