Anyone think Monty sucks at developing players?

I could go down the list of players that have left us and became very serviceable on good teams. I like his pedigree and his philosophy, but something has to give. What players do we have that were drafted and developed into a good player?

I've said this before. Yes. But it's definitely not all on monty.

People really think Pondexter is good? He was terrible for 6 months. Dude scores double figures for a few games and he gets crowned a good player.

Give me one player we drafted that has become a good player?

He's sucked everytime I've watched him in the reg season. But yes, this game is what sparked my thought process of our shitty players.

I'm interested in pros and cons of Monty's developing skills.

How many players are on the team that the new regime has drafted?

Nah frog. Daddy's just gonna listen.

Your case has no meaning buddy. Laugh if you must, but know you're making a fool out of yourself.

Now what players have left and flourished/floundered?

Losing Mike Malone hurt. Monty needs better assistants than he has.
That being said, his biggest failure to me was getting nothing out of MT5. That situation seemed to be handled very poorly and I'm not quite sure why we saw a Marcus that regressed to this very day.
Regarding some of the other players
Cases that can't be made against Monty.
- Jack - they moved him out of respect for Jack. Was a very classy move imo.
- Landry - he was the same player in GS that we saw here. See above for him too. We had a logjam at PF after Ryno/AD were brought in.
- Belinelli - shot 40% this year and minus a couple of silly games in the playoffs was actually worse.
- Pondexter - Is still the same 1 dimensional player that he was before. The difference is that his role is much more defined and he's playing with players that open up massive holes for his offensive game.
- Kaman - Who cares
- Okafor - Who cares
- Ariza - Lucky his name is typed in any capacity on any message board
- Henry - Lottery pick that was given away for a 2nd rounder.
Players that maybe can be blamed on Monty
- Bayless - His stint in NOLA was a disaster. How in the world is he handling the ball this well off the bench in the playoffs?
- MT5 - See Above
- Miller - WTH? Was the smartest SF we had on our roster all year and just didn't see the floor in a down year, at all, ever. When he did, he seemed serviceable, especially compared to the competition.
Players Monty actually helped develop
- Smith - Legitimate big off the bench that was obtained as an afterthought in an afterthought trade.
- Aminu - Like it or not. Aminu was lost and confused when he came in. By the end of last year, Monty actually had him doing some things well enough that he probably priced Aminu out of our range in the offseason.
- Davis - 18/10 by the end of the year. Kid's a stud and Monty kept him fresh while showing massive improvements late.
- Roberts - Exceeded expectations by a mile. Monty helped turn him in to a legitimate 11-12th man on a contending quality team
- Vasquez - From a let's swap depth for depth at positions we need trade to almost the NBA's MIP. I'm not that high on him as our PG of the future, but damn if I won't at least admit he grew leaps and bounds under Monty.
WTF I DONT KNOW WTF TO THINK
- Rivers - I don't know whether to blame this on Monty, the hype, his own expectations and pressure or what, but the beginning of the year was an unmitigated disaster. That being said, he showed massive improvements before going down, so credit both of them for that?
Sorry if I missed anyone.

So three that are here now. I guess we'll see (or are seeing) his developmental skills right? And of course there's the account of batum and outlaw, but I guess we have our chance to see.
