I was just listening to one of my CFB podcast and the conversation turned to "Is Les Miles beloved in Baton Rouge?"

Starts at the 29 min mark.

He says that their isn't a better marriage of HC & fanbase in country. LSU fans are demanding/all the time fanbase that will question anything that seems out of order.

**The shortside option also is mentioned

That's true. Include anything that seems in order as well.

It's more of a love hate relationship for me, but overall I love that Les has stayed loyal to LSU, that goes along way with me.

Sounded like the toss lead was discussed. I didn't hear anything about the short side option.

I thought that too but then they talked about the Ford toss vs Alabama...which was a short side option play.

They did say toss lead though...think they just got their words mixed up.

I will forever wonder if Bama gets the rematch if Ford scores on that play. I don't think they do.

I like how he said that we could have a cross between Ghandi, mother Teresa, and Jesus Christ and LSU fans would still find something to complain about.

Possibly the most dominating performance I have ever seen out LSU against a legit opponent.

Still don't know how that 2007 team managed to lose to Kentucky and Ark but it doesn't matter b/c they still got the titles to go with it.

I am not sure he is 100% right about this. How Miles is viewed by the fans is a strange one because Miles accomplishes a great deal, for which most of us are quite grateful, but you can't deny that he also appears to fall woefully short from time to time in terms of in-game coaching. The blunders are relatively few but they are very high profile. It is not just a matter of LSU fans complaining no matter what. There really are some things to complain about even though, IMO, the good far outweighs the bad.

The ONLY reason Miles is viewed the way he is by LSU "fans" is because Saban is at bama.
