Also, $5 per month is pretty small in the grand scheme of things to be able to play on a great network even if you do play it once a month. I spend more than $5 nearly everyday on stupid shite that doesn't bring me nearly the same satisfaction as playing a game.

Sony will be forced to upgrade their servers and service to match the Xbox One Live online experience. How can Sony bill themselves as THE gaming console and not offer the best online experience?

I'm sure Sony will be providing a very good online gaming service that is very comparable to MS.

300K servers is a huge investment. Some of that will be for the cloud but that promises every game will have dedicated servers on Xbox instead of P2P. I will be interested to see if Sony matches that.

I'm definitely going to get an Xbox One at launch but will probably get a PS4 later on down the line.
I'm really happy with what they showed at the unveiling. I'm not really sure why everyone is bitching about them not showing more games. We all know it will play games, I'm more interested in what ELSE it will be capable of doing and they did not disappoint.
I'm all about having an all in one media box in my living room.. I'm hoping it will function as a sort of HTPC because I've been thinking about building one for quite a while.
The console wars on this board are lame. You people are arguing loyalty and defending corporations that make billions of dollars and don't even know who the frick you are. They don't need you defending them. They're ok in their private jets and high rise office's.
Both systems look cool.. I'm excited about a new generation of tech to play with.

How did all of the past consoles do so? Online gaming really did not become what it is now until this past generation. It existed and was there with Dreamcast/PS2/Cube/XBox, but was hardly used. I think there's a lot more to it than just creating a nifty online experience.
