What do you think about this guy's personal SPECULATION that the PS4 could implement HSA?

makes sense as to how sony got away with using the less powerful jaguar apu and integrating with GDDR5 instead of traditional DDR3 Ram

also if its true that AMD is using this tech in the new computer grade APUs, and we see significant performance bumps from it, it could be a game changer for AMD in the gaming market.

a full blown steam box build could be made without having to purchase a video card. it would blow up the mid grade and low end GPU market. essentially the 7850 would become the new entry point.

I was 75% 360 gamer & 25% PS3 last gen, my favorite exclusives were on 360 but now that Bizarre Creations is out of business and Halo is growing stagnant I'll likely go PS4.

I prefer the much faster console for better graphics and AI and I don't game much but when I do I don't want to pay for a year or month and not know when I'll feel like playing again.

Either way I'm going to sit out for a bit and wait until there are games I want on either.

An awesome arcade racer could easily be the deciding factor for me, but not if that's the only game interesting. I'm taking a wait and see approach, the Uber TV Guide does nothing for me and I'm not crazy about Sonys exclusives.

Kinda 'meh' over all of it

I bet that Sony will have a pay model this time around for their online service. PSN+ was a test and warm up. Just my opinion.

This is what I'm waiting to see. I probably just wouldn't play online with PS4, I very rarely do on my PS3.

You think it'll be mandatory? I could imagine PSN+ to be expanded and have some tiers, but I do think there will be some free option to play multiplayer games online.

it makes sense, b/c the market has shown people are willing to pay but the whole sharing games model MS is going to use might be an epic fail.

You're probably right, I think most of us expect Sony to announce something similar to a LIVE pay to play service soo enough.

LIVE is a steller online service for a lot of gamers I just don't play online enough to warrant it.

If PSN forces pay to play I'll balk at that too.

I don't know. It's going to be one of those "the other guys are doing it" situations I think. Xbox makes a ton of money off of those fees. 20 something million people on Live x $60 = a lot of cash that could help Sony and soften their initial loss they will take on the equipment.

To add to that, the main reason Microsoft can justify expanding to so many servers is due to the fee's they collect for Live. If I had a Playstation and the option to pay for online use meant massive upgrades then I would be all for it. But I can see the point those are making that play very little online. My question to those are, actually how little do you play online? Less than 50%? 20%? I am pretty much 100% online gaming....if the game sucks online I don't want it. But that's why they make Chocolate and Vanilla.

Yea but I mean something like a pay system based on tiers based around time played, maybe a free for less than 5 hours a month sort of thing.

Who knows, either way I doubt I'll even play online at all.

I bet I played less than 10 hours online over the life of the Xbox & Xbox 360.
