Love it.

Chesapeake Energy Yearly Income: $2 Billion

First of all, Durant makes a hell of a lot more than $18 million per year.

Secondly, you're a dumbass.

Good for KD

Hope to see more large scale donations from people/org's in the public eye.

get great press, help out the community, and it's a fat tax deduction.

Win all the way around.

The fact that Kevin Durant didn't even announce his donation speaks so much towards his character. Not looking for gratitude at all.

Great for KD but let's not pretend like he didn't know this would get leaked. It is very easy to donate to organizations and keep it private. Hell, who cares if it's public or private. Good for him regardless.

Perhaps he wasn't thinking about the press he would or wouldn't get. Maybe he just saw a tragedy and decided to help. Some people don't spend their time trying to improve a public image and just want to help out people who need it.

Sure, KD is completely loaded if he has anything resembling financial sense, which I'm pretty sure he does, but 1 million isn't negligible to him.

I heard on CBS Sports Radio today that Jeff Kemp, who is from the area, is going to donate $1k for every homerun he hits till the All Star Break. So far he only has 2 this year.

Durant. I'm not an OKC fan, but props to him. Much respect.
