Would you/what would you trade for Danilo Gallinari?

He tore his meniscus and ACL in his left knee on April 4. He had surgery on the meniscus on April 30th, but has not yet had the surgery on his ACL, which will be done relatively soon.
This likely means he will be out for the majority (or more likely, all) of the 2013-14 season.
He's under contract through 15/16. He's making 10.1, 10.8 and 11.5. Obviously his contract will be covered by insurance next year until he's able to come back (but does count against the cap).
When he's healthy, he is a very, very good SF. Great shooter, great length.
But it would be a massive risk, considering the injury. Denver might be willing to move him as they are obviously looking to win and he won't be able to contribute next year.
So...a) would you? b) what would you give up?

Tough call. It would be hard to give up any of the few assets we have, only to concede another year of losing. I think it's imperative this team drastically improves this season.

I think he is redundant since he is just like Anderson (who should be playing SF). I don't see the need for him..

Lord no. He's much more of a SF than Ryno will ever be. That is just flat wrong. Besides, we want another floor spacer.
The argument isn't over that, its over taking the risk on his injury.

I'll pass, until I hear confirmation that Dell is really trying to trade Gordon, I believe we need to make moves to be a playoff team next season.

I don't think we have any tradeable pieces they would want. They don't need a backup PG so no need for Vasquez, and they damn sure don't need another C, so no Lopez.
I wouldn't trade Gordon or our 1st rounder for him, and I can't see them wanting a package around Rivers.

The leaks from GS last year seemed real enough. I don't think Demps is trying to dump Gordon though.

I wouldn't want to do it. I'm just stick of dealing with long recovery injuries. We already have enough injury prone players. I don't feel like investing in a guy coming off a ACL surgery that he hasn't even had yet is good for this team. That's also why I'm kinda iffy on taking Noel

What about words from Dell's mouth:
That's about as direct as an NBA GM will get...
quote:
“We’re always going to look at every opportunity to make the team better,” Demps said. “So, if Eric Gordon or any other player ... if the situation presented itself, you have to look at it. When you win 27 games, you’re always looking to get better. ”
“I thought it was tough on Eric coming back from injury and not having training camp, missing a number of games, not playing back-to-backs,” Demps said. “I thought he really tried to fight through the situation. To say if I anticipate him being back, I don’t know if that’s something I can answer right now. ..."

I could see a trade of Gallinari for Gordon. With Iggy not taking the option they are flexible but I can't see Iggy not returning with the season they had. I just cannot see them keeping all 3 SF. And losing Brewer and Mozgov have to make up for it.
Pels Receive:
Gallinari SF
27th Pick
Anthony Randoplph
Nuggets Receive:
Gordon SG

He's a soft foreigner coming off injury. No thank you.

Doing this, you're essentially packing it in for this season, and shooting for a major run next season.

Do you know how terrible we would be this year? That trade guarantees we would be in the lottery again next year. We would be lucky to win the 27 games we won this year.
