Chimes? Does Pelican House have food?

Not a whole lot of options outside of the Chimes probably. Parrains and TJ Ribs both have ok beer sections, and the new Pelican House has an incredible beer section, but they have a pretty limited food menu.

Bistro Byronz.

They have Magic Hat, Santo, Fat Tire, Canebreak, and a Stone beer. I'm sure they have more but thats all I can come up with off the top of my head.

It looks like on beermenus.com that Chimes East has some pretty good stuff on tap right now

Burgersmith has a good selection of Louisiana craft beers, but it may be a little too casual. Maybe a first date?

On the other end, Galatoire's has a good beer selection. But it may be a little too upscale unless you are an OT Baller or you're taking your lady out for a big date.

I wasn't that cuckoo about Pelican House's food, but the beer selection is awesome and it is a real nice place.

The Bulldog has a real good beer selection and they have that nice patio. The food is OK. But people smoke like crazy in there.

Chelsea's or The Chimes is probably your best bet.

Chimes has the best combo

Pelican House is nice, the food is ok, but service is spotty at best. Nice atmosphere and no smoke. Menu still is extremely limited, but what I have had was decent.

BJ's is alright. A lot of beer options and food is plentiful. Quantity over quality, but serviceable.

Mugshots is another option for a laid back date. The Friday night I went on was pretty dead. Mainly burgers and pub food like the rest.

Bulldog is nice for a patio setting, but food is what it is.
