I'm making my first Athens trip this year as well. I hear nothing but GREAT things about Athens the town. I hear the fans are dbags but that's expected on any SEC road trip.

and sit you up very high in the stadium with only one concession stand for like 7000 people

Does anyone here happen to know where they put the visiting teams fans. I figured most go in that third upper deck they have, but they got to have a few sections of lowers for away fans? By the way I'll be there also.

I'm going back for the first time since 1991...sat right in the middle of the UGA fans, didn't have a problem. Went in 1986 too, we beat them in a great game. Good trip.

top rows of the 3rd deck. high enough that you can't really watch the game.

Went in 1999. Great campus, but the tickets were high up. Nothing terrible. Where we tiger bait, you may have a few fans bark at you. But nothing too bad.

decent fans, damn good looking women, fantastic small town feeling campus with a great night life....great historic music seen from Athens as well. Really good place to be on a saturday in the fall even if LSU isn't playing.
I am trying to make the game myself, but some idiotic friends of mine decided to get married that day. Everyone told the damn Auburn fan what was going on that day and they still went ahead with the marriage date...In their back yard! Jeeze, move the date 1 day so the UGA and LSU fans in the wedding can go to the game. Oh well...
