Serious question. Do any of you here think you've seen enough of this kid to say he's a great NBA prospect? Honestly, how much have you seen him play? Dude missed a lot of the year.

2-3 games

That Ole Miss game made me a believer.

Dude can play. Maybe more of a project than Davis, but dude can definitely play.

Kyrie Irving turned out alright and he hardly played.

He only missed 9 games. He played twice as much as Kyrie did.

But why are so people convinced about Noel. I saw one game and he looked good. But that was one game. He's a tall, skinny kid.

I've watched a few also. You start getting misled about his talents when he's defending and blocking shots at the college level.

All those defended/blocked shots won't look that easy when you have legit PFS and C that have already had experience.

If I had an older guy I could trust to mold him for a couple years, then I'd roll the dice with him. Pelicans can't risk that.

Its not really about people being so convinced about him. This draft is terrible and most think he is the best in this draft. If he was in last years draft, im thinking he wouldve gone around picks 11-13.

Oh I'm not convinced by any means. Just saying it can be done after not playing all year.

He would have gone top 3-5

He's a better prospect than Drummond but a good bit, and we was the #2 center last year

look at AD's chest/shoulders. he is going to fill out like a goddamned studdmonster! noel's is already sqared so all he can do is bulk a bit. and when he does, his reach will shrink. noel will be a cross between warrick and stoudamier. athlectic-dependent.

I am not about to watch a fricking Kentucky-Ole Miss game tonight.

It just seems to me that Noel is one of those guys that some folks have latched on to but who may not be worth the hype in reality. I could be wrong.

im willing to bet that hairdue was a critical part of his attempt to successfully make it to the nba. he is actually shorter than AD right!! that due+athletic ability =deceptivity. i learned that shite from national geographic channel
animal/incects do tricks to appear taller to impress wouldbe mates and intimidate foes.
nobody would covet a 6-9/6-10 200lb kid with little offensive skill. him defending KD would be interesting though.

Noel's an inch taller.

Why on Earth would he be doing that?

Depends on who you talk to, I think Noel is average. I dont think he wouldve gone top 5 but you never know. It only takes one team to like him. I just dont see how an undersized center with no offensive game coming off an acl injury would have gone top 5 last year.

Drummond was rated over Anthony Davis as a prospect for parts of last year. Going into college Drummond was seen as the next cant miss prospect. He got to college and seemed like he didnt give a shite. He showed in the nba this season what people were expecting when he entered college.

We'd also be the quickest most explosive front court in the league. The athleticism and mobility would be astounding. Look at blake griffin, ad wasn't supposed to have great offense either. I don't think noel's a great fit here but you can't knock his potential and ar hleticism for his height.
