And no. Some people think they have to do it before the draft because of the photos taken with the draft pick, but all we know is it will happen this summer and that the release of the uniforms is happening on the league's schedule.

It doesn't necessarily have to happen before the draft. Draft picks only get the hat when they shake hands with the commish, not the jersey too like the NFL.

They normally present them with the player the next day though

do you have an inside source or just have a hunch? I've always thought sometime around the draft (due to photo ops w/ draft picks)... I'm ready for the new stuff to start rolling in
FWIW I don't think it'll be before the end of the playoffs (so that eliminates around lottery time)... even though the Hornicans aren't playing anymore... I don't think the NBA would allow a non-playoff team to steal any bit of the light from the playoffs... no matter how little of the light would be stolen

I think they'll just present t-shirts to their draft picks, similar to how Brooklyn did last summer.

Not a real pic. That was a mock up from before the actual logo was released and uses a totally different font than the team uses. The font being used there is the same as the logo in my avatar which the team did not use.

Why doesn't the NBA store have non flat billed hats for sale? I don't want to look like a dumb arse.
Amazon has some but I want official gear and preferably the Crescent City B-Ball Logo. Anyone know a place that sells the hats in a non stupid format?

I got an official, non flatbill at team store. It was that "47'' brand hat with the main logo on front and bird-e-lis on back
