Last time ULL showed up at our regional, they got a lot of tickets early in the week and ended up having large numbers at the games.

Remember, THIS IS THEIR WORLD SERIES. They live for this. They will turn out in numbers...it is important that our fans get to the tickets before their fans do.

Can students come in for free? Can I meet up with someone? None of my friends will go to an LSU softball game, but I love LSU athletics too much

It's an NCAA event, not an LSU event.

I understand that, but I could have sworn the students had extremely easy access to the women's basketball tourney at the PMAC, and even had free entrance

You are aware that ULL softball has been to the WCWS more times than LSU softball has, right?

I know right bc they haven't had any success at Ull in softball compared to Lsu. Their season lives and dies by getting a chance to just play Lsu. With that said Ull isn't nearly as good as years past so I don't think they make it out the regional.

This isn't a flame, but isn't there some drama ongoing with the Lotief's?

Should be some good games this weekend.

That is true. How about this? The last two times they've come to Baton Rouge for a Regional, ULL has been the team to make the Super...not LSU.

Only Michael lotief is still coaching and yea they have had some drama this year. He quit the day before the season started bc the school wouldn't pay the assistant coaches and some other things. He ended up coming back but they just haven't hit their stride like years past. They are pretty good but not world series good IMO.

I'm sure LSU will pay for the students to attend like they did last time. Most coaches are good about coming out of pocket to help with the student attendance figures at the hosting of NCAA postseason events.

They won't be buying anyone tickets. The place will be packed especially for a LSU/ULL matchup.

As much as he comes off as a little twit, this was very admirable of him, I thought.

Students will probably have to pay, but you will be able to get a all session ticket book for three dollars. And I'll be there. I am a huge LSU softball fan and haven't missed a home game this year.

LSU softball had its beginnings in 1979 with a team coached by Carol Smith. However, after only three seasons, LSU decided to disband its softball program. In 1997 the Southeastern Conference decided to begin sponsoring softball, partly to help member institutions to comply with Title IX. LSU softball was reborn and quickly became one of the best teams not only in the conference, but in the nation. Since 1997, LSU has won 5 regular season SEC championships and 5 SEC tournament championships which is more than any other school in the conference

They just won 23 straight before losing this past weekend.
