Thus, it is betting that Bitcoins will not become a currency, but will continue to require conversion to some other currency for spending. They are betting on Bitcoin remaining a commodity.
That's a really good point.
I believe that bitcoin will go nowhere without legit exchanges so its interesting to consider the fact that exchanges might also be holding bitcoin back in a way.

If by some strange anomaly, bitcoin makes it, it will be under a regulatory body. Which will be the opposite of what has been said will make it successful.

You know, I'm really not sure what "success" looks like for bitcoin. I used to think the goal was to create a viable currency. No one seems to know what the original intent was.

The article says that amazon is offering a 10% discount on Amazon Coins purchased in bulk. If you order lots of stuff on amazon, I guess that is worth it

Which makes Amazon coins infinitely better than bitcoins, hell, I dropped a deuce a few hours ago that was infinitely better than bitcoins.

But the inherent difference is Amazon isn't trying to pawn this shite off as a universal currency. You buy their coins and use it to buy merchandise from Amazon. You know, a legit company.
