I've gone back and forth on this, but the more I think about it the more I like the team's current PG group (Vasquez/Rivers/Roberts). Vasquez is a solid starter that could expand his game a bit. Rivers is an up and comer that could also play a bit of SG, gives the team some flexibility. Roberts is a pure streak shooter that plays well with both (plus really cheap). So why change up now? Could you really move Vasquez for anything and would would that do to River's in the future? Are Burke or Bledsoe that big of an upgrade?

Every position on this team is a need, except for PF.

Trade eg for something..Then put Austin Rivers at his natural position where he seemed to start improving(SG)Then draft Trey Burke and put him at PG Now you have your potential Beast of a backcourt. Plus they are both only 20 years old.

i don't think you want to move vasquez. he's one of the few vocal leaders on the team. if you can get an upgrade at PG in the draft, then you do it.

None of our pg's make our players better.

Is Burke really an upgrade? Vasquez is average to above average. Burke would have to be a special talent to be a step up. He could be, but it's a gamble and there is a chance he could be like a Kemba Walker. Where it takes him a couple of seasons to come around (an awesome college player that is becoming a good pro). Plus, where does this leave Rivers? For some reason, everyone in the front office thinks he's a PG. That seems to be the vibe accross the league as well. It's too early to give up on him..

No I think we need a 4,3 or 2. I thought the plan last season was to have AD as the future 5 & Austin Rivers as the future 1

Burke would be an upgrade, but you would have to decide what the plan is with Gordon and Rivers if you draft him.

Do not want Bledsoe

Our PGs have had good assist numbers and assist/turnover ratios. Our offense has been fairly efficient. Robin Lopez had a career year playing off of Vasquez. All of this implies that in at least some ways, our PGs make our players better.

AD also had more offensive success than anyone expected.

The team is in asset collection mode. 42 summed up the likely strategy a few weeks ago. This past season they added Anderson and Lopez. This season they'll try to add Anderson2 and Lopez2 and eventually try and trade the assets collected for a star a team can't afford or wants out ala Houston and Harden. Position is only a concern if there are minutes issues that would potentially damage the value of current or to be acquired assets.
