What would the monthly property taxes be on a $300,000 home in Baton Rouge with the homestead exemption? TIA

Probably about $2500, extrapolating from my tax bill.

If property (building & land) is assessed for 300k, the simple calculation is similar to this.
Assessed value 30,000
Homestead exemption -7,500
Equals 22,500 taxable value
Baton Rouge, IIRC has a little over 100 mills of property tax inside of city limits. Outside and in the various fire districts would be different.
10 mills is equal to 1%. So 10+% times 22,500 would give you around 2,250/2,400 annual property tax. Most assessors' offices have a web site to look up each areas millage.
