Doesn't mean that the movie had to be any good, but ones with great trailers.

I think 300 would be a popular choice, that trailer is pretty bad arse.

Some others:
Jarhead
Prometheus

Snow White and the Huntsman comes to mind.

I had such high hopes for this after the trailers. The movie left me severly underwhelmed, though.

300. Popcorn was flying everywhere once Fassbender dropped the "we will fight in the shade" bomb. Music and everything is perfect.

The first one that came out was a GREAT trailer. It was so badass.

I remember me and one of my friends on Apple Trailers one night watching all kinds of shite, and we saw a trailer for Saw. This was like 6 or 7 months before it came out. I couldn't wait to see it after seeing that teaser trailer.

The Prometheus trailer was really good too (so was the movie ).

I remember watching The Two Towers trailer over and over again. I'd get goose bumps every time the song from Requiem would play.

Really, its a no brainer for me: The Social Network. Really almost worth making for the trailer itself. Can't think of a trailer that made me go back an analyze my whole generation: LINK

I know these aren't movies, but I've always loved the GoT season trailers. I think the Seven Devils one from Season 2 is one of the best TV show trailers I've ever seen.

Seven Devils

I also enjoyed the Season 3 one but not as much as the Seven Devils one for Season 2.

Bones
In terms of movies, I've always liked the Christopher Nolan Batman previews.

Citizen Kane -- Note that Welles is never seen

Psycho

Rope -- Not really that great a trailer, but notable for including a scene cut from the film itself
