Guess we peaked too early?

If we lose here, are we done for any shot at top 8 seed? Will we at least get a sub-regional or whatever they are called?

This has been one of the most boring LSU sporting events I have ever watched. And yes Top 8 seed is definitely out of the question.

3 things I HATE about softball

1. stupid dugouts cheers
2. slap hitting
3. tee ball sized field

#4 just for the hell of it

4. beastly women

what i hate about the game the most.

is a result of

The slap hitting and smaller field don't bother me. It makes for a faster paced game. If it were a baseball sized field, and given that the softball travels much slower then a baseball, it would be infield hits galore (even worse then it is now)

Looks like it. We'll host a regional but will likely have to travel if we make it past that.

Too bad.

Has LSU Softball ever had a decent hitting team? I admittedly only follow it for meaningful games but it seems hitting has always been a problem for the teams, even during Yvette's years here.

We're better this year, but I don't think we're one of the top hitting teams in the conference. We struggled at the plate for years under Yvette G. Hopefully, Torina can recruit some power hitters to go along with those slappers.

This one got ugly quick.

Hope we can get things fixed before the regional. In our last 3 games, we've looked nothing like the team that swept Bama.

Not even worried about hitting. Defense needs to get it together though.

Hard to take a sport seriously when Pig tails, hair braids and sing along-clap along songs are more important than what's actually going on in the game.

Defense and pitching has been our demise the past few weeks. We had 1 bad game offensively. We have put up great numbers against great pitchers. I don't understand why kloss doesn't start at catcher, then have alcarez at dh. The line up would be so much stronger. In torinas first class, she has displayed this year how her recruits, the freshman can have impacts on games. The freshman account for over half the hone runs and RBIs. This upcoming class we have a top 5 pitcher in the country coming in, along with a few players that were highly recruited that will make an immediate impact next year. If anyone would like me to analyze our recruiting class and I would be happy to do so.

Major uptick in the bats with Torina, which can be attributed to the hiring of Dobson as the hitting coach. LSU once again has the No. 1 player in the NPF draft. CWS or bust with Fico's departure nearing with each game. Offensively, the future is bright though.

They started off hitting better than they have in the last 5 years. But my concern for the program is there drop off. After they swept Bama I thought they got their mojo back, but they have turned Georgia's program around drastically by being swept bad in their 3 games. Georgia pitched a freshmen and she pitched like a SR. GA will be tough with all those freshmen and soph the next several years.
