You don't look stupid, man. Never be afraid to ask questions (once you've checked around to make sure it hasn't been answered recently). I'll let someone else who knows more about it than me answer though

Im not sure what you are talking about either. In what context were they using it?

First off welcome, or as some around here would say go frick yourself, eat shite and die, etc...
If you are going to be following this board and want to chime in from time to time, make sure that you use the search function. It might not be the best but you can usually find what you are looking for if it has already been posted. Secondly, if you are afraid of being made fun of or "looking stupid" then you might not want to post. There are a lot of internet badasses now on this board, so lurking might be the way to go if you are worried about people bashing you behind their screens.
About your op, I'm not sure so I guess someone will chime in about it.

They have the "Bayou Picnic" on May 25. This will be a time where the top guys in the state come in for a visit. As far as what goes on at the picnic, there is a pie eating contest as well as a contest for best picnic dish and BBQ sauce.
Actually I really don't know what takes place at the picnic. I do feel comfortable saying its a great way to get all of the top guys in one place at the same time which is obviously a good thing.

It's when we find out what kinda credentials Cam Cameron is really gonna bring to the table.
Also some recruits come hang out on campus and spend time with the coaches and other recruits. Just a family oriented get together for recruits that get invited. Sometimes we land a committment or two during it.

Is it just in-state guys or is it out of state guys as well?

I think it coincides with Bayou Country Superfest, the big Concert. It's like a game day atmosphere on Campus, which really helps. When you put the host girls in daisy dukes, cowgirl boots and bandanas for shirts, it's a pretty good selling point.

This is where Stud and Ensminger shine respectively.

I'm hearing some talk of Javi entering the BBQ contest this year as well.

IMO this picnic is the only reason Steve Ensminger is still on staff. His BBQ recipe is a perfect blend or herbs and spices that only the gods could compete with. His BBQ fame is the local lore that sends excitement through the recruiting community and really brings in the kids for a picnic of sorts that tantalizes the taste buds. Recruits are shown what they can expect to eat for the next 3-4 years at the hands of really the premiere BBQing school in the SEC.
Recruits come away with BBQ on their faces and pledges to LSU football. One onlooker has been quoted as saying that "There has to be somthing in that sauce!"

The picnic is basically for in state guys to bond together, Coach Frank Wilson is the leader of this event, Coach Wilson encourages the Bayou Boys to exchange numbers and keep in contact with one another during their season. And of course you have the food and a good time with family. LOL

Sounds like something Freak or Copeland would say.
