i actually disagree with this.
after reading more about him and the aftermath, he was simply following through on his beliefs.
love him or hate him, the dude seems completely genuine in following (however misguided) his value system.
so i still like old raul even after the flag disrepecting incident (which was blown way way out of proportion)

Even though we never made a Sweet 16 with any of those players, those were fun times to be an LSU Basketball fan. That 1989 LSU-UNLV game? Awesome! I paid (made my parents pay) $19.99 for all those meaningless TigerVision games when LSU BBall was still on TigerVision.
